Whole Foods is opening their third store in Hawaii this month in the beach town of Kailua on the island of Oahu. Can you believe that Hawaii has three Whole Foods and Brooklyn has zero? Even though Hawaii is great and all for vacations, that doesn’t make any sense since so many people live in Brooklyn and love Whole Foods. But watch out Hawaii because Brooklyn is getting two of its own markets soon.
This new Hawaii Whole Foods is going to have its very own bar serving beer and wine. Our great neighborhood already has some great bars (Radegast anyone!), and some pretty good beer and wine stores too. But wouldn’t it be amazing to take a break from shopping for groceries with a nice glass of wine inside the market? Apparently you aren’t allowed to do that in New York, but maybe Billyburg can be an exception because our little hood is so exceptional!
